The course was delivered to

1.     Health and custodial staff in four different  Thaiprovinces in the Department of Corrections.

2.     Ministries of Public Health responsible for prisons (where relevant)

3.     Other government agencies/units working in prison on health and welfare issues

The specific objectives of the trainings were:

1. To contribute to the preparedness of the prison system regarding strategic planning for responding public health emergencies, including COVID-19

2. To increase the knowledge and capacity of prison officers and prisoners to contribute to pandemic preparedness and response

3.  To improve and continue delivery of prevention and care services on HIV, TB and viral hepatitis
